| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We simulated distribution of anticancer drug in tumor feeding artery to treat effectively intra-arterial chemotherapy for oral cancer. This study showed catheter placement into each tumor feeding artery for instable distribution of anticancer drug in common trunk. We developed new registration method in catheter navigation, and this study showed maxillary anterior teeth registration provides sufficient accuracy.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
口腔癌の標準治療は手術であり早期癌であれば機能障害は少ないが，進行癌に対する拡大手術は咀嚼・嚥下・構音などの口腔機能を著しく低下させるため，口腔の形態と機能の温存を目指した手術以外の低侵襲な治療が強く求められているため，これまでに取り組んできた医工連携によるシミュレーションやナビゲーションといった先進的手法を発展・統合することで，口腔癌に対する動注化学療法のための革新的低侵襲治療法を開発した．
