Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study is a basic study of system development to support nurses who work alone in isolated area at the time of major disaster with ICT. We conducted experiments to support nurses using wireless communication and satellite communication, assuming that all infrastructure has been destroyed during a major disaster. As a result, we were able to obtain results that reached the practical level.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究のテーマは「災害により看護師が孤立して、主体的な活動を余儀なくされるような状況」、そしてそれを「ICTでサポートし続ける」ことであった。しかしこれらは災害時だけではなく、これからの看護師は単独で活動したり遠隔医療に関わるシチュエーションも増えることこが予測される。このような平時の看護活動の質の保証のためにも、本研究が応用できるであろう。
