Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study investigates whether policy interventions on inequality of educational opportunity bring future benefits. Using a marginal treatment effect framework, this study shows positive average and policy-relevant treatment effects of university education on hourly wages. The findings suggest that there is a potential for further policy interventions, such as an increase in capacity of local universities, a reduction in university tuition fees, or introducing tuition subsidies.
