Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は,高齢者を対象として,書字運動を簡易に取得できるデバイスを開発し,運用を開始した。このデバイスは,Wacom製タブレットに対してペンを用いて描画した際の書字軌道,時間情報,筆圧を記録するものでる。視覚フィードバックの有無も切り替えが容易である。このデバイスを共同研究者であるRodriguez-Aranda准教授の所属であるUniversity of Tromso(Norway)に実際に持っていき,運用方法について議論した。今後はまず健常高齢者および軽度認知症患者に対してデータを蓄積していく予定である。
脳損傷患者に関しては,失読患者における書字運動(空書)が認知機能に与える影響を明らかにした(Itaguchi et al. ARWA, 2018)。実験の結果,少なくともウェルニッケ型の失語であり,書字に関する機能の低下が少ない患者においては,指運動をおこなうことによりその視覚的フィードバックが認知課題遂行を促進することを示した。
これらの研究に加えて,本年度は効率的な運動学習を促進するロボットデバイスの研究開発をおこなった。すなわち,複数のロボットによるアシストの方法を用いて,書字運動の学習効率を比較した。その結果,ロボットアシストをした群においても,アシストなし群と同等の学習効果が得られることを明らかにした。ただしその一方で,アシスト力が強い条件ではアシストなし群よりも学習効果が小さくなることも判明した。これらの結果は,私たちヒトが複雑な運動を学習する際に,能動的な運動指令が有用な情報として使用されることを示唆している。
