Outline of Annual Research Achievements

高精度 X 線分光装置である「ひとみ」SXS の、ペルセウス座銀河団の初期観測データの解析を、前年度から引き続き行った。絶対的なゲインの不定性に影響されるため最も難しい一方で、これまで得られなかったという点で最も重要な、ガスの運動情報を導出する「ひとみ」サイエンスチームを主導して論文を投稿し、受理された。ICM の視線方向速度分散マップは世界初である。上記ひとみデータ解析の結果や内容について、ローマで開かれた国際会議で口頭発表を、ワルシャワで開かれた国際会議およびスノーバードで開かれた国際会議で招待講演を行った。
Chandra アーカイブデータから銀河団ガスの物性を探るという観点で、Abell 3667 銀河団の deep な cold front 構造の観測データの解析し、ICM の粘性に制限をつけた結果について、北京で開かれた国際会議 Physics of the Intra-Cluster Medium 2017 で口頭発表を行った。
新しい観点で X 線データを解析するために、近年発展著しい機械学習の考え方を X 線分光観測に導入するための、原理実証に関する論文を投稿し、受理されたほか、東北大で開かれたワークショップにて口頭発表を行った。また、カロリメータをハードウェアという観点から深く理解するために、J-PARC を本拠地として行われているカロリメータを用いた原子核実験に参加している。来年度の本試験に向けて現地に赴き試験を行っている他、ソフトウェアの改修なども行っている。NASA ゴダード宇宙飛行センターに赴き、X 線後継機の信号処理部の試験を行った。
