Outline of Annual Research Achievements

熱ふく射の波動性を利用した技術(=熱ふく射スペクトル制御技術)は様々なエネルギーシステムの効率向上が期待されるが、高効率エネルギーシステムへの展開は不十分である。本研究では、高温フォトニクス技術を用いて、熱ふく射スペクトル制御技術を応用させた高効率な太陽熱光起電力発電(Solar-Thermophotovoltaic : Solar-TPV)システムの開発を目的としている。
今年度の研究では、昨年度確立した高効率達成のためのSolar-TPVシステム設計指針に基づき,基盤技術開発及び発電実証試験に取り組んだ。具体的には、昨年度提案した“熱ふく射のスペクトル制御”と“熱ふく射の一方向への輸送”の概念に基づいた熱ふく射の変換・輸送効率のさらなる向上が期待できる,ふく射体材料の幾何学構造を新たに提案し、Solar-TPVシステムの全体設計を行った。高いふく射抽出効率が期待できる幾何学構造を採用し,太陽光選択吸収材料と波長選択エミッタの設計を行った。設計後は実際に作製を行い、より高い熱ふく射の変換・輸送効率を得るため高い面積比を持たせ、太陽光選択吸収材料からの反射・放射損失を抑制した結果、熱ふく射の輸送・変換効率76%が期待できる太陽光選択吸収材料および波長選択エミッタの設計と作製に成功した。作製した太陽光選択吸収材料、波長選択エミッタ、ガリウムアンチモン光電変換セルを用いた発電試験に成功し,高いふく射抽出効率に基づく発電効率が得られた。
以上の成果に関して,申請者はシステムにおける熱ふく射の輸送・変換効率の向上に関する学術論文を執筆した。
