Outline of Annual Research Achievements

量子系を観測し情報が得られる場合、その代償としてハイゼンベルクの不確定性関係に起因する測定の反作用が量子ダイナミクスに本質的な影響を及ぼす。従来このような振る舞いは少数自由度の量子系について研究されてきたが、近年の冷却原子系などの実験技術の発展により、量子多体ダイナミクスを1原子レベルでミクロに観測/制御する事が実現した。ミクロな運動の詳細は観測/制御できないという仮定のもとに成立してきた従来の多体系の枠組みは、このような状況では破綻し、異なる一般原理に基づいた基礎理論が必要となる。本学振の研究テーマはこのような単一原子観測/制御下の量子多体系を記述するための理論を構築することである。最終年度である平成30年度は、まず観測下の非ユニタリ開放系の熱化現象について研究を行なった。詳細釣り合い原理が破れた場合にも非可積分多体系が非ユニタリな摂動により温度を変えながら熱化することを示した。本成果はPhysical Review Letters誌から出版された。さらに、開放系のうち特に非エルミート系に着目することで、その位相幾何的側面、特に分類と1次元系のバルクエッジ対応について明らかにした。これらの成果はPhysical Review X, Physical Review B, Nature Communications誌から出版された。次に、環境と強く結合した開放系の非平衡強相関現象について、ハーバード大とマックスプランク研究所と共同で研究を行なった。局在スピンの量子もつれを解く新しい正準変換を発見することで汎用性の高い理論手法を構築した。本成果はPhysical Review Letters, Physical Review B誌から出版された。
