Outline of Annual Research Achievements

光輻射圧で駆動する高コントラスト全光スイッチの作製および測定に取り組んだ.本研究の全光スイッチは2本のビーム型フォトニック結晶共振器を並べたジッパー型光共振器を用いるもので,共振器間に発生する光輻射圧によってビーム型共振器間距離を制御することで光路を変更する素子である.昨年度の検討により作製の基礎技術は確立しており,その手法を用いたシリカビーム型共振器の作製とナノ光ファイバを用いた光結合手法の検討について,高いQ値と高い結合効率を達成し,筆頭著者として論文を1報,国際会議発表3報をする成果を挙げた.また,共振器の作製手法として,従来の電子線描画ではなく工業応用に適したフォトリソグラフィを用いた作製を行い,シリコン製ナノビーム共振器の適切な作製条件検討について国際会議でプロシーディングを1報発表する成果を挙げた.一方で,シリコン製ジッパー型共振器については,作製の最終工程のフッ酸を用いた構造のエアブリッジ化において2本のビーム型共振器がリンス工程で水の表面張力により貼り付いてしまうという課題があった.表面張力が水の5分の1のリンス溶液を用いるなどして問題の解決を図ったが,適切なサンプルを作製することが出来ず,光輻射圧による共振器距離制御の実験には至らなかった.年度の総合的な成果としては,成果目標であった筆頭論文1報,国際会議発表2件について,筆頭論文1報(他共著論文3件),国際会議発表4件(他共著4件)と十分に上回る期待通りの成果を挙げた.
