Outline of Annual Research Achievements

素粒子標準模型は、素粒子物理学の三つの基本的な力(強い力、弱い力、電磁気力)に対して、ゲージ対称性を用いて記述する理論である。近年のヒッグス粒子の発見により、素粒子標準模型は成功を収めている。しかし、素粒子標準模型では素粒子の質量階層性と世代混合について自然に説明することができない。特に、ニュートリノ振動の精密測定の実験により、ニュートリノには小さいが質量があり、大きな二つの世代混合、第一世代と第三世代の間の世代混合角の大きさが、クォークの第一世代と第二世代の世代混合角程度大きいことが判明している。クォーク・レプトンの質量の大きさと世代混合の大きさを統一的に説明することは、素粒子の起源の解明における重要な課題である。この問題を解決するため、世代に対して非可換離散対称性を用いることにより、レプトンの大きな世代混合を説明することができる。そこで、標準模型を超対称大統一理論に拡張することにより、クォーク・レプトンを統一的に扱った。
平成29年度に引き続き非可換離散対称性を用いたフレーバー模型の現象論的研究を進めた。模型を超対称大統一理論(SUSY GUT)に拡張し、クォーク・レプトンを統一的に扱い、Daya Bay、RENO、Double Chooz、T2K、NOνA等のニュートリノ振動実験や、LHC、Belle Ⅱ等の実験の新しいデータに基づき、模型の包括的かつ精密な検証を行った。具体的にはSUSY GUTのフレーバー模型が素粒子実験でどのようなシグナルを現すか、CP対称性の破れや陽子崩壊等を検討し、素粒子の世代構造を解析した。
また、3年間で得られた結果を他大学でのセミナー(北海道大学、奈良女子大学、名古屋大学)や、日本物理学会秋季大会、国際会議(FLASY 2018)に参加・研究発表した。
