Outline of Annual Research Achievements

近年発見された鉄系超伝導体の中で、鉄カルコゲナイド超伝導体(11系)は、最も単純な結晶構造を有する。11系は線材応用上重要となる上部臨界磁場が高く、構成元素の数も少ないため、高磁場下での超伝導線材応用が期待されている。これまでに電気化学合成のみの試料では、電気抵抗測定においてゼロ抵抗を示す試料は得られていなかった。前年度は、基板を溶液に浸した際に、溶液が基板表面に及ぼす影響に着目した。化学量論通りの試料を得るには、浸漬させてからのロスタイムをなくすことが重要であることを見出し、合成直後の試料において、初めてゼロ抵抗を観測することに成功した。本年度は、線材応用を目指す上で、銅酸化物系超伝導線材の下地基板として使用されているRABiTSテープを用いて、良質なFeSe試料が得られる条件の探索を行った。反応時間を5分間に固定し、溶液温度と印加電圧値を様々に変えた際に得られた結果を相図としてまとめた。溶液温度が70、80℃の領域において、結晶性の高いFeSeが得られた。これは、溶液温度を上げることで、電気化学の反応速度が増大し、結晶成長が促進され、より結晶性の良い試料が得られていることを示している。また、EDX測定の結果から、試料の組成比は印加電圧値によって系統的に制御でき、結晶性の良い試料が得られた70℃において、約-1.1 VにおいてFe:Seの比が1:1に近づくことが明らかとなった。さらに、これまでのITO基板と比べ、RABiTSテープを用いた方が、基板自身の標準酸化還元電位の違いから、副反応が起きにくいより低い電圧値で目的相のFeSeが合成できることを見出した。本研究から、電気化学法を用いることで、熱処理を施さずにFeSe超伝導体テープ線材が簡便で安価に作製できる可能性を示している。
