Outline of Annual Research Achievements

一般相対性理論はこれまで行われたすべての検証実験と整合的な重力理論であるが、摂動的に繰り込み不可能なため、重力の量子効果が無視できないエネルギースケールでは予言力を失う。量子重力理論の候補としては弦理論が有名であるが、一方で場の理論の枠内で摂動的に繰り込み可能な重力理論の候補としてHorava-Lifshitz重力理論が近年提唱された。この理論の特徴は高エネルギー領域で時間と空間が非等方にスケールすることであり、重力以外の物質もこの非等方スケーリングを持つ。この特徴が現れるエネルギ―領域は宇宙論で探ることができるかもしれない。宇宙論における物質は全体としてほぼ一様等方になっているが、そのような巨視的な性質を調べるには位置と運動量の空間における分布関数を用いることが有用である。分布関数が従う方程式は、通常の場合Boltzmann方程式であるが、時間と空間の非等方スケーリングを持つ場合には知られていなかった。そこで発表論文では、曲がった時空において、時間と空間の非等方スケーリングを持つ物質場の分布関数が従う方程式を作用積分から導出した。ただし、物質場としては簡単のために実スカラー場を用い、ラプス関数は時間だけの関数とした。また、非等方パラメータがz=2の場合には任意の曲がった空間で導出したが、z=3の場合には技術的な問題により空間的に平坦な時空に限定した。導出により、通常のBoltzmann方程式では位相速度で表される項が群速度に置き換わることが第一原理から示された。この定式化をさらに発展させることにより、非等方スケーリングが顕著になる宇宙論的現象を具体的に議論することができるようになる。
