Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は,超音速衝突噴流とよばれる流れ(固体壁面へ衝突する超音速の流れ)から非常に強い音が発生するメカニズムを明らかにすることである.この音は,ロケット打上げ時に問題となる騒音振動の主要因の一つであり,その低減手法確立に本研究の理解が役立つと期待される.昨年度までに,音の生じ方を従来よりも詳細に観察できる「シュリーレン可視化動画の条件付抽出解析」という手法を提案し,これを用いることで,最も単純な固体壁面である斜め平板に関して,その位置や角度による音の生じ方の違いを詳しく調べた.本年度は,斜め平板の角度による音の生じ方の違いを元に発生メカニズムを明らかにし,それを踏まえて幅広い条件の音の生じ方を説明することを計画し,次の研究実績を得た.
1. 昨年度明らかにした「斜め平板の位置による音の生じ方の違い」についての論文を取りまとめ,国際論文誌AIAA Journalに投稿し,査読を経て掲載決定に至った.このことから,昨年度までの研究実績については,その重要性が広く認められたと言える.
2. 「斜め平板の角度による音の生じ方の違い」についてより詳細な実験計測を行い,その違いが,流れの衝突でできる「衝撃波」の現れ方と相関を示すことを明らかにした.さらに,提案手法による抽出結果から,流れの「大規模乱流構造」が音の発生に関わっていることも示された.これらのことから「衝撃波と大規模乱流構造の干渉」というメカニズムによって音が生じていることが示唆された.このような実験結果は本研究ではじめて得られたものであることから意義は大きい.
3. 前項までに示唆された音の発生メカニズムによって,斜め平板の位置や角度のより幅広い条件における音の生じ方についても説明ができることを確認した.これによって,超音速衝突噴流における音の発生メカニズムを明らかにするという本研究の目的はおおむね達成できたと考えられる.
