Outline of Annual Research Achievements

前年に得た知見を基に,DLC膜との併用により異常摩耗を引き起こすMoDTCと使用した場合においても,優れたトライボロジー特性を発揮するDLC膜を模索した.その結果,MoDTC油中においても水素を含有しないa-C膜の場合では,異常摩耗の原因であったモリブデンカーバイドの生成量を抑え,異常な摩耗が発生しないことを見出した.
また,今年度までに得られた知見を基に,DLC膜のトライボロジー特性改善に有効な新たな潤滑油添加剤を模索した.その結果,DLC膜の中でも摩擦低減効果が小さかったa-C:H膜に対してナノカーボン系の潤滑油添加剤を併用したところ,大きな摩擦低減効果が確認された.この摩擦低減効果は様々な添加剤が含有されたエンジンオイル中においても有効であり,DLC膜に対する新たな添加剤としてナノカーボン系添加剤の有効性を見出した.
