Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究ではナノシートを用い、(1)層空間と触媒表面で酸化・還元反応サイトが分離した逆反応抑制型光触媒系の構築、(2)可視光を利用した水分解反応の達成を目的とした。本年度の研究では、HCa2Nb3O10ナノシート再積層体の層空間に還元サイトとして働くPtナノ粒子を担持した触媒に対し、酸化サイト、および可視光吸収部位として機能するRu色素を吸着させ、その光触媒特性を調べた。ヨウ素アニオンを電子供与剤として用い光触媒反応を行ったところ、可視光照射に伴い断続的な水素の発生が観測された。これは酸化・還元サイトの空間的な分離により逆反応が抑制されたためであると考えられる。また、HCa2Nb3O10ナノシート再積層体の表面を酸化アルミニウムで修飾することで光触媒活性が大幅に向上することを見出し、適切な酸素発生光触媒と組み合わせた2段階励起型水分解系を構築することで、可視光を利用した水の完全分解を達成した。
さらに昨年度合成に成功した新規の層状ペロブスカイト酸窒化物であるK2LaTa2O6Nの光触媒特性に関して検討を行った。層状ペロブスカイト酸窒化物は可視光応答型ナノシートの前駆体として有望であると考えられるが、合成例が少ないことに加え、水溶液中での安定性に問題があり、その光触媒活性はほとんど検討されてこなかった。触媒調製や光触媒反応の条件を詳細に検討した結果、K2LaTa2O6Nが水溶液中においても安定な水素発生光触媒として機能することを見出した。またその光触媒活性は、従来の酸窒化物光触媒と比較しても10倍以上高く、K2LaTa2O6Nが優れた可視光応答型の光触媒として機能することが明らかとなった。最終的に、K2LaTa2O6Nを適切な酸素生成光触媒と組み合わせた2段階励起型光触媒系を構築することで、可視光照射下で水の完全分解反応を達成した。
