Outline of Final Research Achievements

In a genetic cross experiment, we gave the conditions of optimality for estimating main effects and interaction effects, and we obtained the constructions of their optimal designs. We applied the constructions of treatment-control designs using cyclic and generalized cyclic designs, and we gave a list of A-efficient treatment-control designs obtained by using a computer programming in the practically useful ranges of the parameters. We gave a construction of incomplete split-plot designs generated by the semi-Kronecker product of two alpha-resolvable designs. Moreover, we characterized their designs with respect to the general balance property, and we gave the stratum efficiency factors for their designs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
