Outline of Final Research Achievements

The compost toilet for home evacuation was able to be produced experimentally at low cost with familiar materials. Moreover,it was found that the compact compost toilet for one person could be used as a disaster toilet until the sewer system was restored (roughly one month).
In addition,it was possible to grasp the composting performance of the solar utilization composting toilet concretely.General composting toilets require thermal insulation in the winter, but it was found that if the composting tank is insulated and solar heat is taken in, composting performance is maintained even in the winter. This result is very useful for setting regional conditions where composting toilets can be introduced.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
