Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The first example of dance using recording technology was in connection with phonograph records. Script, visual, dance scores, and films preceded phonograph records, but phonograph records were the first to be widely used by the general public. With the phonograph records, it has become possible to dance to the same music in rural areas as in urban areas, and it has become possible to teach students without playing an instrument. As a result, dance classes and dance performances increased, leading to the prosperity of dance after the war. On the other hand, it can be confirmed that record dance was an invention in the prewar period and they promoted the spread of militaristic music and dance.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
