| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This project aims to create a new university English training curriculum through which students can acquire necessary skills to teach English in English at elementary/junior-high/high schools, where English should be taught in English. The project expects to cultivate the following four skills:1) English skills good enough to teach English as a facilitator in an interactive way, 2) Skills to create effective teaching materials to encourage students to communicate actively in English, 3)Skills to evaluate students' communication abilities, 4)Students' global viewpoints.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
英語の授業は、学習指導要領によって、高等学校に加え、さらに中学校でも、「原則、英語で授業をすること」となった。その要請に応えるためには、教員養成大学において、しっかりとそのための能力を身につけさせる必要がある。本研究では、授業カリキュラムの中に、そのための具体的な指導や活動を組み込むことで、将来「英語の授業は英語で」展開できる教員を育成することを目的としている。本研究は、英語の教員養成の改革、さらには、現場の英語教育の発展に寄与する。
