We decided to set up a study group on public facilities, investigate the direction and current state of consolidation and abolition of public facilities in the prefecture, future trends, and think about the public facilities in the region.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
県内自治体の公共施設の統廃合計画の策定状況・内容の分析、自治体ヒアリング及び現地視察を実施した。各自治体の担当部局に協力いただき、各自治体における公共施設の維持管理・統廃合の課題、具体的な施設の現状や活用方法等の知見を得た。各自治体が抱える課題や先進的な取り組みについて実態に即した知見を得ることができた。具体的には、公共施設等総合管理計画の分析、数値目標の設定のあり方、総合計画等上位計画との関係、まちづくりとの関係、小学校の統廃合と利活用、地域団体との関係、住民参加手法、市町村合併との関係、起債（最適化事業債等）の活用の有無、財政状況等について、ヒアリングを実施した。
