| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research aims to construct educational evaluation theory by investigating and analyzing practical examples that lead to effective development of "high-quality academic ability" such as thinking ability, judgment ability and expression ability.
Although performance assessment is based on American research theory, this study clarifies how Japanese and South Korean educational methodological approaches, that is, how the teacher's expertise as an evaluator affects the evaluation method and lesson content provides a more practical evaluation framework.
Specifically, we conduct action research centered on elementary schools in Japan and South Korea to develop evaluation criteria and evaluation methods centered on activities outside the curriculum, and also perform performance task and rubric as practical activities to improve lessons.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は、パフォーマンス評価をナショナルカリキュラムとして導入・実施し、教育内容の見直しを行っている韓国におけるパフォーマンス評価の理論と実践の研究蓄積を批判的に検討し、その教育評価が小中学校の学習評価の教育制度・実践にどのような影響を与え、指導の改善にいかに寄与してきたのかを明らかにしている。また、日本の小中学校でも幅広く用いることのできる評価規準と評価方法を開発するとともに、授業において「活用」を促進する指導方法の改善に取り組んでいる。本研究は、グローバル化が進む社会の中で国際的な視野を持ちながら日本の学校教育の現状を捉え改善していくための多面的・総合的な研究という意義を持つと考えられる。
