| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this research is to build models for teaching materials for multicultural coexistence “kyosei” by analyzing textbooks used in Brazil. We could find teaching methods that help Japanese-Brazilian children and students take part in learning society from academic and practical perspectives. Specifically, common theme and contents between Japanese & Brazilian children were found. And that made Japanese and Brazilian children to deepen their interests in “kyosei”. Building “models for universal design teaching materials” based on “kyosei” between Japan and Brazil proposed the following things : (1) improving of basic academic ability. (2) encouragement of study by oneself. (3) development of models for teaching materials to study with groups.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日本とブラジルの共生に資する「ユニバーサルデザイン教材モデル」の構築により、以下が可能となる。
①基礎的な能力の養成：特に基本的な用語や概念を理解する反復練習が必要な「表面的な学習(Surface Learning)」を強化できる。②自立的な学習の促進：学習者自らのペースで学習を進めることができ、知的探究心を高めることが可能になる。③協同学習としての教材モデルの活用：個々の学習の促進かつ従来の母学級における集団学習をも活性化させる。さらには、ブラジル人児童の多様性により、母国へ帰国する際に生ずる再適応の問題（母語・アイデンティティ等）への対応が可能となる。
