| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The main findings of the study are as follows: 1)Early childhood care and education practice is constructed as double layer including of “second-person engagement", 2)“Second-person engagement”defines in this study as the way of joint attention to the subject, 3) “Exploring goodness”of early childhood care and education based on“Second-person engagement”leads the world of “third-person engagement" which is a form of cultural practice, 4) Writing the way of“second-person engagement”enriches child and an early childhood care and education practitioner her/his first-person, and 5)“Second-person engagement" makes the subject deeper“recognition” by feeling for her/him. The process leads to the transformation of“second-person engagement”in early childhood care and education.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
保育におけるかかわりを、「子どもと世界（人、モノ、こと）の二人称的かかわり」と「子どもと世界（人、モノ、こと）がかかわる世界への保育者の二人称的かかわり」のかかわりの二重構造としてとらえて、その関係構造を理論的に明らかにすることにより、保育という営みそのものを見直し、実践の営みをより構造的に示す研究になった。さらに、保育におけるかかわりの二重構造を「みる」「記述する」研究者もまた、二重構造の営みに二人称的な眼差しを向け、かかわるという、二人称的かかわりの三重構造が現れた。それは、発達の主体である子どもの実像に迫ると共に、保育実践のみならず保育研究をも含んだ保育全体の営みの転換の探究となった。
