Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Pure calcium carbonate powder was simultaneously pressed uniaxially at 250 MPa and heated to 250 ℃ to prepare a solid calcium carbide body, and then the surface of the hardened body was colored with a mineral pigment. Beforehand, the pigment mixed with calcium carbonate powder. After heat and pressure treatment was performed again to fix the pigment particles on the calcium carbonate hardened body, the sample subjected to supercritical carbon dioxide treatment containing water. This series of processes has succeeded in reproducing the frescoes which usually formed for over several decades to a hundred years in a short time. Resultant products are expected to be used as pottery fabricated without burning.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
