Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, aiming at analyzing fatigue process of crystalline rocks applying actual rock compression tests, the experimental system to perform the minute cyclic compression test of rock samples has been established. Furthermore, the analytical method, which realizes to observe very small defects and cracks appeared within the tested samples, has also been established.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
