We have developed a new application of fluorescence resonance energy transfer based molecular beacon probe for in situ hybridization (FRET-ISH) for detection of specific microRNA at the tissue and cellular level.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
がんを含む様々な疾病に関与する小分子非翻訳RNAであるmicroRNA (miRNA)について、組織や細胞での発現動態を解析する新たな検出法として、FRET based in situハイブリダイゼーション(FRET-ISH)法を用いた高感度miRNA 局在検出法を開発した。このFRET-ISH法は、様々なmiRNAの特定の細胞や組織での細胞生物学的役割や疾病への関与について新たな知見が得られる有用な方法論であると考える。
