Outline of Final Research Achievements

The overall study objective is to develop effective communication strategies to promote help seeking for mental health problems. We developed methods and tools for assessing health communication messages. We created persuasive messages encouraging professional help seeking for depression and assessed their effectiveness on the website and in the real world.

本研究は精神的不調時の援助要請促進を目指してヘルスコミュニケーションの開発に取組んだものであるが、ユーザーテストに基づきメッセージを作成し、ヘルスコミュニケーションを実行したのち、メッセージ効果を評価し、改善策を講じるという本研究の一連のながれはあらゆる健康課題に対応するものである。ヘルスコミュニケーションをどのように進めるべきかを表わしたモデル事例として、今後、ヘルスコミュニケーションを行う際に参考になると考えられる。
