Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recent findings have shown the significance of CD163-positive macrophages in tumor progression. However, there have been few studies on the functions of CD163 in macrophages. In the present study, we revealed that macrophage CD163-mediated IL-6 promotes tumor development and progression in murine and human malignant tumors, thus indicating that macrophage CD163 may be potentially new target molecule for tumor therapy.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
