Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The central-buccal root apexes of the right first molars of the rats were resected with a 0.7 mm dental fissure bur from the surface of the buccal alveolar bone. After the operation, sprouted calcitonine gene related peptide(CGRP)- immunoreactive(IR) nerve fibers were observed around , but not within, the bone cavity. In contrast, laminin-IR structures, which were tubular in shape, were observed within the bone cavity at 3days after the operation, and also were recognized near the newly formed bone at 1week after the operation. Taken these findings into consideration, vascularization may play important role in the tissue repair after the preparation of the bone cavity.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
