Outline of Final Research Achievements

The aim of the present study was to verify the care guide for a nursing practice model that we previously developed based on a preview study that outlined methods to enhance the relaxation of psychosomatic tension experienced by cancer patients undergoing ambulatory chemotherapy. We reviewed the related literature and re-analyzed previous studies, extracted the assessment items to modify the practice care guide, and evaluated psychosomatic tension. Additionally, we examined the questionnaire used in the research field and assessment items, and created its revised version. The applicability of the care guide and its effectiveness as an assessment tool were examined based on the results of a survey of the patients’ condition and nursing practice using this revised questionnaire. Based on these results, we created a draft flowchart and started trials. These will lead to the refinement of the model and define future tasks and directionality of nursing care.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
