| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It is necessary to offer effective mouth care to decrease the aspiration-related pneumonia death of the need of nursing care elderly person. As a result of investigation, the mouth care providers in facilities usually are care workers. Nurses and they worried about care and lack of knowledge to oral assessment, technique, care difficulty person. Therefore I made the educational program by the authorized dental hygienist corresponding to individual difficulty and did the effectiveness after the corona pandemic with a plan to inspect.
In addition, as a result of having investigated a caregiver of the small home hospice which did not have the minimum of the pneumonia development, it found mouth care time in the practice, and there were knowledge and a technique of the tool utilization, and a manager and a caregiver focused on the mouth care becoming the pneumonia prevention, and it was shown to have got the support by the dental specialists including the dentist and a high evaluation.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
要介護高齢者の肺炎予防に効果の高い口腔ケアは、現状では介護職者が担うことが多く、口腔ケア実践者個々への教育支援が重要であることが示唆された。また、教育プログラムにおいては、口腔内観察やケア方法の知識と技術についての実践指導が効果的であると考えられる。
本邦における要介護高齢者の肺炎予防としての口腔ケアが確実に提供されるためには、まず、介護施設や訪問看護施設の管理者が口腔ケアの効果を重視し、その価値観を介護者と共有する必要がある。次に、管理者は、地域の歯科専門職（歯科衛生士）と連携し、介護職者・看護師の口腔ケア技術が向上する実践教育を推進する必要があることが示唆された。
