Outline of Final Research Achievements

A device was developed for the purpose of inducing crawling limb movements by inducing visual illusions (optical flow) by showing images that flow through the scenery, targeting infants who have not acquired crawling movements. The subjects were one healthy infant and one child with cerebral palsy, and the amount of movement of the limbs during and without the video was evaluated. As a result, no increase in limb movements was seen in normal children, but some limbs in cerebral palsy children showed increased movements. We would like to repeat the verification and connect it to the rehabilitation technique that induces crawling motion in the future.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
