Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aims to clarify a change and spread of the new usage and new form of benefit expressions in Japanese using archives (TV programs broadcast in the past). Also, we analyze conversation parts of novels to clarify these change and spread.
We pay attention to such new benefit expressions as (1)"-shitemoratte ii?" [vs."-shitemoraeru?"], (2)"-shitemorttara" [vs."-shitara"], (3)"-kudasai."(rising intonation) [vs. "-kudasai."(falling intonation)]. We concentrated to collect and accumulate data during three years. We will conduct an analysis from now on.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
