Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have investigated the synthesis and reactivity of alumole (aluminacyclopentadiene)-transition metal complexes as potential catalysts for small molecule activation reactions. Reactivity of stable alumoles with various small molecules were also investigated, while inorganic small molecules, such as dihydrogen and carbon monoxide, did not react with the almoles under ambient conditions. We have investigated the synthesis of phosphaalumenes, Al=P conjugated systems.
