Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Nano-sized titanates were successfully synthesized at low temperature using amorphous titanium dioxide nanoparticles with a high surface area. The conventional synthesis methods of titanates require high temperature and high pressure. The amine-modified hydrogen titanate nanotubes showed high CO2 adsorption capacity. The hydrogen titanate nanotubes exhibited high solid acid catalytic activity for biomass conversion reaction from glucose into hydroxylmethylfurfural. The lithium titanate nanoparticles showed high cyclic stability and rate performance as an anode for lithium ion battery.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
