Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Noble metal nanoparticles, such as gold and silver naoparticles, with an n-type semiconductor exhibit plasmon induced charge separation. I engaged to develop novel plasmon induced charge separation systems at the interface between a metal nanoparticle and a p-type semiconductor. For that aim, I investigated basic effects of metal nanoparticles on photoenergy conversion systems. As the results of photovoltages and photocurrents measurements, I succeeded to observe plasmon induced charge separation at the interfaces between a metal nanoparticle and a p-type semiconductor.
