Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We analyzed the effects of Bardoxolone-methyl (BAR), a small molecule activating agents of Nrf2 transcription factor, on cell migration and glucose metabolism in human breast cancer MCF-7 cells. BAR inhibited glycolysis, mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, and cell migration via increase in intracellular reactive oxygen species and decrease in glutathione level.
