Outline of Final Research Achievements

Development of new labeling methods for radioactive halogens using enzymes or manganese-salen complex as catalysts was performed.
At present, it is difficult to apply enzymes as catalyst for rapid synthesis considering the half life of radioactive halogens.
It was revealed that manganese-salen complex can be also used as catalyst for radioactive halogens other than radioactive fluorine-18, which have been reported previously. Further studies on reaction conditions and new metal-complex development are expected to proceed in the near future.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
