Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Adipocyte-specific elimination of oxidative stress resulted in healthy expansion of subcutaneous adipose tissue, reduction of mesenteric adipose tissue, improvement of liver steatosis and insulin resistance under high-fat diet. Adipocybe-specific augmentation of oxidative stress resulted in reduction of white adipose tissues, acceleration of liver steatosis, whitening of brown adipose tissue and worsened insulin resistance. Treatment of reactive oxygen species decreased gene expression of lipogenic genes and transcriptional activity of SREBP1.
