Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research,an online registry system has been constructed to verify whether PACUs (posanesthesia care units) which are not widely established in Japan reduce postoperative serious adverse events or not. Data reported from 8 hospitals with PACUs and 22 hospitals witout them are now being analyzed.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
PACU(postanesthesia care unit: 麻酔後ケアユニット)は周術期の効率化を推進しながらも安全性を高める可能性があるが,その証明はされていない。本研究によりPACU(麻酔後ケアユニット)が重篤な有害事象を減らすと証明されれば,日本での普及が加速し,術後患者の安全性が高まる。
