Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Aiming to construct a home rehab model for older adults with chronic pain, this study identified three main points. 1) Older adults who have undergone surgery for lumbar spinal canal stenosis but still have pain may have low health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and may be eligible for home-based health promotion programs. 2) A model was established that physical activity, an adaptive pain coping, has a positive impact on HRQOL. This suggests that promoting physical activity may improve HRQOL. 3) Physical activity can be quantitatively captured using activity meters. Therefore, it is appropriate as a key indicator in a home-based physical activity improvement program.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
