Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study is to investigate the associations between desires to be thinness, psychological distress, and dietary intake among Japanese women in their 20s and 30s. Particularly, we examined this association among women with low body weight. In the low-weight group, the prevalence of psychological distress was higher among women with the desire to be thinness. Moreover, in BMI<22 kg/m2 group, we considered the association of psychological distress with dietary intake among women with the desire to be thinness. There was no significant association between psychological distress and main nutrimental elements. However, the quantity of sweet was higher among women with psychological distress.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
