Research Abstract

昨年度本研究で開発した可視光励起エタノール選択脱水V-TiO_2触媒について、その場反応条件でのバナジウム(V)サイトを状態識別XAFS(X線吸収微細構造)法により観測することで触媒的役割を調べた。状態識別のためVからの発光線の化学シフトを高エネルギー分解能蛍光分光で捉え、さらにV 3dからの発光線(V Kβ_5)を選ぶことで、価電子準位付近での電子状態情報を強調することを狙った。
まず、V^<IV>とV^V標準無機化合物を等モル量物理混合し、状態識別XAFS測定のfeasibilityを示した。各価数について、V Kβ_2ピークの低エネルギー側にKβ_5が肩として重なる発光スペクトル形状のため、低エネルギー側のV^<IV> Kβ_5状態識別は良好であったが、V^V Kβ_2状態識別はV^<IV>ピークの裾野に重なるため80%であった。Kβ_5チューンでは、XAFS吸収端前の1s→3dピークが通常法の2倍以上強く現れた。
上述のメソポーラスV-TiO_2触媒はfreshな状態でV^<IV>サイトがTiを置換する構造が示され、以前の基盤研究B展開、若手研究でのV Kα_1選択XAFSによる結論と一致した。エタノールのVサイトへの解離吸着、可視光照射によりV^<III>側ヘシフトし、歪んだ配位構造から8面体配位構造に近づいた。O_2導入、可視光照射によりKβ_<5,2>発光およびKβ_<5,2>選択XAFSとも元のV^<IV>状態に戻ることを示したが、V配位対称性は元の歪んだ状態までは戻らなかった。Freshな状態の歪んだV構造が特に脱水反応に活性と考えた。
