Research Abstract

本研究では、鋳型としてケージ型のメソポーラスシリカKIT-5を用いることにより、入り組んだケージ構造のメソポーラスカーボンが得られる。具体的には、炭素源であるショ糖を鋳型であるシリカ構造に封入し、熱処理による重合化と炭化のプロセスを経て、最終的にフッ化水素酸でシリカ部分を選択的に溶出することによってカーボンナノケージを合成した。カーボンナノケージの詳細構造を高解像度の透過型電子顕微鏡(HRTEM)観察によって検討したところ、高い規則性の孔構造が確かめられた)。窒素吸着・脱着挙動より、平均孔径は5.2nmであり、広い部分のケージ径は15.0nmとなることがわかった。作製条件を変化させ検討し最適化されたカーボンナノケージの比表面積および比孔容積の値は、それぞれ1600m^2g^<-1>および2.10cm^3g^<-1>であり、代表的なメソポーラスカーボンCMK-3の値(比表面積1260m^2g^<-1>および比孔容積1.1cm^3g^<-1>)や合成温度を変えて改質した鋳型を用いて作製したCMK-3の値(比表面積1350m^2g^<-1>および比孔容積1.6cm^3g^<-1>)をはるかに凌ぐことがわかった。カーボンナノケージの機能を探るため、生理活性物質としてカフェイン、カテキン、タンニン酸、および内分泌かく乱物質であるビスフェノールAの吸着挙動を検討した。カーボンナノケージの優れた吸着特性はタンニン酸の吸着において明白であり、より低い濃度で多段階吸着が起こり、最終的にCMK-3の約5倍、活性炭の約10倍の吸着容量が得られた。ケージ型の余裕のあるナノ空間内ではタンニン酸などのπ共役系分子のスタッキングなどによる多層吸着が促進されているものと予想される。カテキンやビスフェノールAに対しても、カーボンナノケージは優れた吸着能を示した。
