Research Abstract

本研究課題では、メカノケミカル合成法などによって無機固体表面に欠陥構造やランダム構造を高密度に導入し、中温度域において、低加湿・無加湿条件でも高いプロトン導電率を維持する新規な無機系ナノプロトニクス材料を合成することを目指している。今年度は、セシウムのドナーとして、これまでに報告してきた炭酸セシウム(Cs_2CO_3)に加え、硫酸水素セシウム(Cs_2SO_4)および硫酸セシウム(CsHSO_4)を用いてリンタングステン酸(WPA)との複合固体酸を作製し、その耐水性やプロトン伝導性を調べ、さらに中温・無加湿雰囲気におけるプロトンの伝導機構を^1H NMRスペクトル測定などの結果に基づいて考察した。その結果、(1)Cs_2SO_4-WPA系、CsHSO_4-WPA系いずれの試料も先に報告したCs_2CO_3-WPA系と同様にミリング処理後には処理前と比較して潮解性が大きく改善されることがわかった。また、(2)Cs_2SO_4-WPA系が最も導電率の値が高く、60℃、90%RHにおいて10^<-2>S/cm以上の値を示し、この複合体を電解質に用いた燃料電池が作動することを実証した。さらに、(3)複合固体酸の^1H MAS NMRスペクトルの形状より、プロトンの配位環境は、Cs塩の種類とCs塩とWPAの混合比によって大きく変化することが示唆された。
