Research Abstract

4H-1,2-ベンズオキサジン1はβ-ニトロオレフィンとベンゼンを基質とする強酸触媒反応の生成物として本研究者らによって初めて合成された新規へテロ環化合物である。本骨格はフェノール性酸素-窒素結合を含む特徴的な構造を有しており、新たな反応活性種o-ベンゾキノンメチド2やフェノール類3の前駆体となるなど合成化学的な有用性が示唆されている化合物である(Scheme1)。また一連の環化反応は、ニトロ基を酸素源として利用した芳香環の直接的な酸素官能基化反応として捉えることができる。ニトロ基はアミノ基もしくはカルボニル基への変換に用いられることが多く、ニトロ基の酸素原子が直接的に芳香環に導入されるような反応の開発は未開拓な斬新な研究課題であり,またその反応の展開の上でも反応機構にも興味が持たれる。そこで本研究者らは、より一般的な芳香環置換基を有する4H-1,2-ベンズオキサジンの合成反応を「置換芳香族化合物の酸素官能基化反応」と位置づけ,その開発とその反応の展開のために反応機構解析を目的として本研究に着手した。今年度は特に4H-1,2-ベンズオキサジンの炭素資源としての有用性を高めるべき新たな反応活性種o-ベンゾキノンメチド2の活用への展開を反応解析に基づいて図った。また生成物の機能評価としての基礎研究も開始した。
