Research Abstract

共役ポリマーデバイスは、電界発光素子やトランジスタ、太陽電池などへ応用が注目されている。本研究では、高感度のミクロ検出手法である電子スピン共鳴(ESR)法を共役ポリマーデバイスへ適用し、デバイス中での電荷キャリアがスピンと電荷を持つポーラロンであること、また高キャリア濃度では、スピンをもたないバイポーラロンへと転化することを明らかにした。さらにキャリアの存在する有機界面活性層における分子配向や、キャリア波導関数などのミクロ情報の重要性を確立することに成功した。
