Research Abstract |
階層構造を有した共役ポリマー薄膜は電気伝導のみならず、発光性についても優れた性質を示す。また材料の持つ柔軟性や加工性の高さからこれまでにない立体構造、階層構造の作製が可能である。高い蛍光量子効率を有する共役ポリマーを発光材料として用い、分子配向制御、分子複合界面制御によるナノレベルでの分子操作と種々の微細加工技術によるマクロなデバイス構造制御を組み合わせることで、発光性共役ポリマーの階層構造の創成を行い、その励起状態のダイナミクスを明らかにした。更に、共役ポリマーの階層構造が導入されたリングレーザーの構築を行い、電気的性質や光学的性質、光導波路特性、光学異方性等を明らかにした。また、自然放出の増幅現象、超放射、レーザー発振特性の詳細を調べ、更に電荷注入によるレーザー発振の可能性について検討した。
