Research Abstract |
Knowledge network on washing test method was constructed by collecting the scientific information on the field of Clothing care sciences in home economics. The information was classified into 3 levels; [1]using practical washing machine, [2]semi-practical test level using test apparatus such as Terg-O-Tometer, [3]Fundamental Scientific test level such as microscopic experiment. Classification of the information of washing test concerning human life environment was conducted and a classification system was established. Experimental studies were conducted on following themes; (1) application of image data processing on detergency evaluation and detergency analysis using statistical distribution theory, (2) estimation of commercially available artificial soiled cloth, (3) evaluation of detergency and resoiling using artificial soiled cloth, (4) evaluation of detergency of home laundry and life cycle assessment, (5) evaluation of detergency of oily soil, (6) detergency evaluation using oily dyestuff as model soil, (7)evaluation of detergency by functional water, (8) fundamental detergency study using crystal oscillator, and (9) observation of fluid flow in the region of meniscus by movement of gas / liquid interface.
