Research Abstract

ミャンマーに延べ6回18人を派遣し合計5282点の標本資料を採集した。その他地域から補足的に収集した標本、および従前の「南ヒマラヤの植物多様性」調査で収集した標本資料等を合わせて分子系統解析を含めた系統分類学的解析を行い、新分類群を含む多数のミャンマー新産植物を発見した。このうち45新産植物、1新属、6新種はすでに論文等で公表した。この結果南ヒマラヤ地域の植物相は日華区系の西端としての特徴を示すと同時にインド区系の東端やインドシナ区系の北西端としての性格をもっていることが再確認され, 区系地理学的境界領域としてのより精度の高い解析の必要があることが明らかとなった。
