Research Abstract

わが国では古代中世期に掛幅形式の仏教説話画が多数制作された。しかし、従来それらについて十分な調査研究はなされていない。そこで本研究は、日本各地に遺る説話画現存遺品を網羅的に調査すること、そのデータを明確に分類整理すること、そこから得られた研究成果を体系的に公開することを通じて、これからの説話画研究の基礎を構築した。
